📖 About Peppermint

The reviver. One breath of peppermint and the fog lifts. This vigorous herb has been clearing heads and settling stomachs since the ancient Egyptians first crushed its leaves.

⚕️ Uses & Remedies

Digestive relief (nausea, bloating, IBS), headache remedy, energy and alertness, respiratory support. Steep fresh leaves for tea, apply diluted oil to temples, or add to bath water.

🌱 Growing Tips

Plant in a container unless you want it everywhere — peppermint spreads aggressively by runners. Part shade to full sun, consistently moist soil. Zones 3–11. Harvest frequently to encourage bushy growth. It's nearly impossible to kill.

🔬 Preparation Notes

Harvest leaves just before the plant flowers for peak oil content. Fresh peppermint tea is incomparably better than dried. For longer storage, freeze whole stems in bags — they retain flavor better than drying.

🕯️ Spiritual Reflection

Peppermint is abundant, persistent, and impossible to contain. It spreads into every corner, every crack, refusing to stay where you put it. Grace works the same way. You cannot contain it. You cannot predict where it will take root. It is wild and generous and entirely beyond our control. "Where sin increased, grace increased all the more." — Romans 5:20
